Tiny Wings is a highly addictive game in which you have to help a disabled bird take to the skies, using your powers of timing and judgment.
The cute star of Tiny Wings was born with only little wings, which is a big problem if you're a bird. Your job is to help him get off the ground, using hills as jumps. Tiny Wings is a constant race against time, as you need to pass through each island before nightfall. Along the way, you need to collect coins and perform tasks in order to complete objectives.
The controls couldn't be simpler - you hold your finger down as Tiny Wings begins a descent of a hill and then release it again as he reaches the top. Build up enough speed and you'll be able to gain air to clear lots of land.
The ambiance of Tiny Wings is very captivating. From the gentle, alluring soundtrack to the dreamlike landscapes you traverse, everything about Tiny Wings is very polished. It's just a shame there's no retina display support to make this wonderland even more vivid.
In terms of its gameplay, there's little to fault with Tiny Wings. Like other successful iOS casual games such as Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, it's easy to pick up and difficult to put down. There's no Game Center support yet though, but hopefully this will come in an update soon.
Tiny Wings is a gentle, captivating casual game that is perfect for long journeys - a flight for example!
- fixed bug in the highscore system which causes several bad crashes (at the end of each game, when viewing the stats screen, rarely at the start of Tiny Wings...)
